2018 – So this year has been quiet on the hiking front. It has been such an up and down period of my life. So originally I had nothing planned due to changes in holiday leave at work. Then I faced redundancy. In the end it worked out well because we now run a small farm with holiday chalets in forest rural Poland. Please use the “our farm” tab above to take a peek at what we do there. As I now live in Poland I am able to take hiking groups at fairly short notice outside of the summer period. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or ideas if you are wishing to travel and hike.
2019 – winter walking, I will be looking at dates etc for winter hiking (no climbing) please check back periodically or follow me on facebook.
Brexit and Tatra Hiking – Has Brexit affected me? To be honest, I expected my whole world to come crashing down after we voted to leave. Yes the pound fell and things got a little more expensive and there is uncertainty about the rights of immigrants and migrants that have settled all over the EU however; nothing has restricted me from travelling so far. What about the future? Well, I don’t intend to let Brexit stand in the way of my travel plans, if I have to get a travel permit or register in some other mad government scheme to allow unhindered travel then so be it. Where does that leave people that want to travel with me? Well, once we know what restrictions there will be and what the process will be for travelling, I will offer free advice for anyone wishing to still hike in the Tatra Mountains with or without me 🙂
